“My piece depicts a modern–day knight, dressed in the ancient bejeweled clothes of the Roman Martyrs of 1500 Germany. The knight, inspired by a personal friend and hero I have come to know in my life, kneels in the meadow clearing of an imagined enchanted forest. Although dressed in the clothes of hundreds of years past, he adorns a modern watch; a hint that the night may not only be lost in place, but in time as well.”
