In the words of the artist:
“Arboretum is a meditative exploration of nature as both sanctuary and metaphor. Inspired in part by time spent at the Morton Arboretum in Chicago, this work reflects my ongoing fascination with cultivated green spaces and places of beauty, memory, and emotional resonance. Rather than capturing a specific location, Arboretum conjures a dreamlike space where the boundary between the natural and the imagined dissolves. Within the composition, layered botanical forms drift in and out of focus, suggesting movement, growth, and impermanence. The brushwork is expressive and intuitive, creating a rhythm that mimics the pulse of a living garden. Subtle shifts in color, including cool greens, warm neutrals, and atmospheric hues, evoke seasonal transition and the quiet magic of the forest floor. Arboretum serves as a contemplative moment, an invitation to step into an inner garden where memory, history, and meaning unfold through layers of paint. It speaks to the power of nature to heal, inspire, and enchant, especially when we allow ourselves to slow down and truly see.”
